Keynote Speaker - 2021 NCCCIAP conference
I am deeply honored to be the 2021 Keynote Speaker of the upcoming National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art & Practices (NCCCIAP) conference! Thank you to everyone on the Steering Committee and to the coordinators who have been doing so much and working so hard to get the numerous parts of the conference ready while finding unique solutions to the challenge of staying connected and creative!
The conference dates are March 31-April 3, 2021. It will be hosted on Mighty Networks. This online resource will aid in their mission of educating the community about the field of art, metal casting, and this history of such a special place. ⠀
In support and in solidarity, @tamucc3d will be joining and participating in the conference in as many ways as we can .

The histories of the National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art & Practices are grounded within a community of artists, makers, fabricators, educators, and students. Meaningful connections are created and fostered, inspiration abounds, and respect flourishes among this close-knit group. These are our lived histories. We imagine a future in which we can expand our practices and share our rich community with others. We aspire to serve as a catalyst for that imagined future: an exchange of perspectives, stories, and truths that are adjacent to – and apart from – our own. ⠀
